Prevention of Water Pollution

With the awareness of how important water is for the continuation of life, it is our duty to leave healthy drinking water and a livable environment to future generations.
The first initiative that comes to mind in the interventions to be made by the state to prevent water pollution is the determination of pollution standards.
Solid wastes that may cause pollution in surface waters and underground waters should be destroyed by various methods.
Waste water in settlements should be disposed of after passing through treatment stations.
Filters and treatment plants should be placed in factories.
Materials that do not harm nature should be used in production.
The condition of the receiving environments should be improved. For example, it may be possible to dilute the pollutants in a lesser way by increasing the water circulation with some precautions that can be taken in the bays and gulfs with low water exchange potential.
The dilution and natural purification potentials of receiving water environments can be exploited. For example, deep sea discharges after simple mechanical treatment may be a suitable wastewater disposal method in cases where the receiving environments have very high dilution capacity, such as on offshore coasts.
Our farmers should be informed by experts about the correct fertilization and the negative consequences of excessive fertilizer use.
Short films should be prepared and published in the mass media about the damage caused by excessive use of detergents to both the family budget and the environment, especially in order for housewives to be more clean.
Especially in our schools, our students should be informed about the recycling of waste drugs, batteries, and burnt oil.
As individuals, we can warn those around us to pollute less.
In addition to all these, people should be made aware of protecting the environment. People should now realize that the world is one and it is people who will protect it.
